The cost of living in Bryan-College Station is relatively low.

Compared to both the national average and other cities in Texas, it costs less to live in BCS! With 100 being the national average cost, Bryan-College Station ranks 87.5 for groceries, 91.4 for healthcare, and 83 for transportation. Averages for Texas are 96.6, 95.3, and 119 respectively.

Crime rates in BCS are low, as well.

One reason so many people decide to purchase a new Bryan-College Station home is the area’s low crime rate. When compared to Austin, for example, the difference is astonishing. Austin’s crime index for violent crimes is 24.9; for property crimes it’s 55. College Station has a crime index of 12.7 for violent crimes and 33.1 for property crimes.
